Where Lake Nipissing Outfitters Operates
Lake Nipissing
Lake Nipissing is one of Ontario's largest lakes and a destination fishery for walleye, perch, bass, pike, and muskie. Our boat is docked on the south shore in Callander, giving us direct, daily access to the bays, islands, and shoreline that make this lake special.
From our home dock, we cover Hunters Bay and Callander Bay, run across the open water to the Manitou Islands, and work the West Arm and the surrounding shoreline. Whether you are after a guided fishing day, a scenic cruise, or a water taxi run to a landlocked cottage, Lake Nipissing is where most of our trips begin.
- Guided fishing charters for walleye, perch, bass, pike, and muskie
- Scenic boat tours, including Manitou Islands and shoreline routes
- Water taxi and marine logistics for cottages and islands
- Self-guided paddle and fishing adventures
- Boat-access camping on remote sites
Upper French River
The Upper French River is a designated Canadian Heritage River and one of the most scenic waterway systems in Ontario. Winding channels, rugged shorelines, granite outcrops, and historic fishing lodges define the trip.
From our south shore base on Lake Nipissing, we have direct water access into the Upper French River. That means our French River trips run from the same dock as everything else, no separate launch, no long drive. Half-day, full-day, and custom multi-stop routes are all possible.
- Guided fishing trips on the Upper French River
- Scenic boat tours with optional historic fishing lodge stop
- Full-day paddle adventures on the river system
- Water taxi to remote properties along the French River
South River & Chapman's Chute
The South River is a calm, sheltered river that connects to Lake Nipissing and leads up to the waterfalls at Chapman's Chute. Quieter than the open lake, with protected shoreline scenery and easier water for first-time boaters and paddlers.
Family-friendly and beginner-friendly, the South River is one of our most popular routes for guests who want a relaxed pace and a clear destination. Great for photographers, kids, and anyone looking for a softer introduction to the region.
- Self-guided paddle adventures on calm river water
- Scenic boat tours to Chapman's Chute waterfalls
- Gear delivery to South River-area campgrounds
North Bay
North Bay is the closest urban centre to our home base in Callander. We support North Bay-area guests, cottage owners, and contractors with pickup, gear delivery, contractor logistics, and trail access from local ATV and snowmobile networks.
If you are coming in from out of town through North Bay, or you have a property somewhere along the Lake Nipissing shoreline near the city, we can build the trip to start where it is convenient for you.
- Gear pickup and delivery across the North Bay area
- Contractor services for cottage and property work
- ATV and snowmobile trip launches from local trail networks
- Water taxi pickups for North Bay-area properties
Callander (Nipissing)
Callander is our home base. Our boat is docked here on the south shore of Lake Nipissing, and the majority of our trips depart from this dock.
If you are staying in Callander, this is the easiest place to meet us. Most pickups, drop-offs, charter launches, and equipment handovers happen here. It is also the primary launch point for our water taxi runs into the Upper French River and across Lake Nipissing.
- All services depart from Callander unless otherwise arranged
- Primary water taxi launch for the south shore and Upper French River
- Equipment rental pickup and return
Anywhere in Ontario
Our boats are fully trailerable. We can relocate to any lake, river, or job site in Ontario for custom charters, fishing trips, water taxi runs, or contractor logistics.
If you have a destination in mind that is not on this page, that is not a problem. Many of our trips happen on lakes outside the Nipissing region. Call us to talk through the location, the access, and what you want the trip to look like, and we will quote it.
