Where We Operate

Service Areas

Year-round outfitting on Lake Nipissing, the Upper French River, and across the Nipissing region. Our boats are fully trailerable, so we can operate anywhere in Ontario based on your trip.

Where Lake Nipissing Outfitters Operates

Lake Nipissing Outfitters is based in Callander (Nipissing), Ontario, on the south shore of Lake Nipissing with direct water access to the Upper French River. Our primary service area covers Lake Nipissing, the Upper French River, South River, North Bay, and the surrounding Nipissing region. Because our boats are fully trailerable, we can also relocate and operate anywhere in Ontario, including custom charters and contractor logistics on remote lakes.

Lake Nipissing

South Shore Base in Callander, Ontario

Lake Nipissing is one of Ontario's largest lakes and a destination fishery for walleye, perch, bass, pike, and muskie. Our boat is docked on the south shore in Callander, giving us direct, daily access to the bays, islands, and shoreline that make this lake special.

From our home dock, we cover Hunters Bay and Callander Bay, run across the open water to the Manitou Islands, and work the West Arm and the surrounding shoreline. Whether you are after a guided fishing day, a scenic cruise, or a water taxi run to a landlocked cottage, Lake Nipissing is where most of our trips begin.

South River & Chapman's Chute

Calm Water, Connected to Lake Nipissing

The South River is a calm, sheltered river that connects to Lake Nipissing and leads up to the waterfalls at Chapman's Chute. Quieter than the open lake, with protected shoreline scenery and easier water for first-time boaters and paddlers.

Family-friendly and beginner-friendly, the South River is one of our most popular routes for guests who want a relaxed pace and a clear destination. Great for photographers, kids, and anyone looking for a softer introduction to the region.

North Bay

Closest Urban Centre to Our Home Dock

North Bay is the closest urban centre to our home base in Callander. We support North Bay-area guests, cottage owners, and contractors with pickup, gear delivery, contractor logistics, and trail access from local ATV and snowmobile networks.

If you are coming in from out of town through North Bay, or you have a property somewhere along the Lake Nipissing shoreline near the city, we can build the trip to start where it is convenient for you.

Callander (Nipissing)

South Shore of Lake Nipissing, Where the Boat Lives

Callander is our home base. Our boat is docked here on the south shore of Lake Nipissing, and the majority of our trips depart from this dock.

If you are staying in Callander, this is the easiest place to meet us. Most pickups, drop-offs, charter launches, and equipment handovers happen here. It is also the primary launch point for our water taxi runs into the Upper French River and across Lake Nipissing.
